The Now Page

I have been on the internet for more than 15+years (from around 2006) doing a good amount of time reading, researching, working on projects, writing, exploring learning and connecting with people.

I’ve read through book of “How To Live” by Derek Sivers, came to know about the Now page.

Now page tells you what you are 100% focused on right now. This helps

  • In making sure your priorities are straight when the next time some shiny new opportunity comes in.
  • Helping in saying “no” to things to unexpected things.
  • In better understanding the value of time
  • In making the mind come back to important things when it wanders off.

What Derek Sivers says about Now page

It’s a nice reminder for myself, when I’m feeling unfocused. A public declaration of priorities.

What I'm doing Now

Currently I’m staying in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Working as Technical Architect.

Writing

I left writing on blogs way back in 5 years for other priorities, I’ve started writing seriously again. an hour a day.

Learning

Made a decision to pursue Executive MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (Dec-2022)

Tech is moving fast like never before, updating and upgrading yourself is only the way you are into right context of current time.
Learning through UI frameworks, Python for Data science and Algorithmic trading with python.

Sometimes, you don’t have to do anything wrong. Being silent and not up-keeping with future will eliminate you from the current.

A better learning from Nokia

We didn’t do anything wrong. but somehow, we lost

Reading

I’ve hardly read anything in the last couple years a hard paper book, as I was distracted from normal routine, due to pandemic life style.

So I’m reading again. For many years, following a newsletter (3-2-1) of James Clear on his website, Thought of getting a hard copy of “Atomic Habits” and so got it and I’m reading it now.

Fitness

I used to go on morning walk / jog / run religiously prior to pandemic, I’ve hardly did anything but nothing, for the past couple of years.

Slowly resuming myself to kick off and planning for 10K in Hyderabad Marathon this year.
